What is Clinical Supervision?
As therapists, we all need a safe, reflective space to process our work, and that’s exactly what supervision provides. It’s a chance to pause, explore challenges, and celebrate growth, all while ensuring you’re practising ethically and with confidence.
I know from my own experience how valuable supervision is in building confidence, deepening insight, and helping us grow in our work. That’s why I trained as a clinical supervisor, to offer that same safe, supportive environment to others.
Choosing the right supervisor is one of the most important decisions you’ll make as a therapist. Supervision is not just a professional requirement, it’s a vital part of your growth, wellbeing, and confidence in practice. My aim as a supervisor is to create a safe, collaborative, and supportive relationship where you feel heard, respected, and encouraged to develop as a practitioner.
My Approach as a Supervisor

I believe supervision should be a balance of support, reflection, and gentle challenge. It’s a space where you can:

-
Reflect openly and honestly on your client work
-
Explore what feels uncertain, complex, or “stuck”
-
Gain fresh perspectives and insights into your practice
-
Celebrate your growth and acknowledge your strengths
-
Develop your skills while staying grounded in ethical, safe practice
I know how important it is to have a space where you can say “I don’t know” or “I feel out of my depth” without fear of judgment. In our work together, you’ll have that space to be honest and supported, while being encouraged to grow in confidence and competence as a therapist.
My Background

I am an integrative psychotherapist with an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy and extensive experience working with clients across a wide range of presenting issues, including trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, bereavement, and relationship difficulties. This breadth of experience allows me to understand the diverse challenges you may encounter in your own practice.
I draw on an integrative model, influenced by:
-
Person-Centred Counselling – placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of our work
-
Attachment Theory – understanding how early experiences shape relationships and behaviour
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – offering practical tools to support change
-
Gestalt Therapy – bringing awareness to the here-and-now experience
As a trained clinical supervisor, I bring this integrative perspective into supervision, tailoring the process to fit your needs, stage of training or career, and preferred way of working.
What You Can Expect from Supervision with Me

-
A collaborative relationship – supervision is a two-way process, not me telling you what to do
-
Supportive reflection – space to think through your work in depth
-
Constructive challenge – questions and observations that help you stretch and grow
-
Ethical guidance – ensuring your practice remains safe, professional, and client-focused
-
Personal development – supporting your wellbeing, resilience, and professional identity
