“IN MEDIATION, EVERYBODY WINS BECAUSE IT’S NOT ABOUT RIGHT OR WRONG – IT’S ABOUT FINDING A SOLUTION THAT WORKS FOR ALL”

What is Mediation?

Mediation is a confidential and supportive process where I help people in conflict find solutions that work for everyone involved. It’s not about taking sides or making decisions for you, it’s about creating a safe space where everyone can be heard, understood, and guided toward a fair agreement.

As a mediator, I draw on a range of skills to make this possible:

  • Listening deeply and with empathy, so each person feels truly understood

  • Staying neutral and impartial, to maintain trust and fairness

  • Helping navigate emotions and tensions in a safe, calm environment

  • Supporting problem-solving and creative thinking to find practical solutions

Mediation can help with many types of challenges, from family disagreements and relationship conflicts to workplace or neighbour disputes. Together, we focus on understanding the root of the conflict, exploring options, and finding agreements that are practical, fair, and respectful, often preserving relationships along the way.

What Mediation Offers

Mediation provides a safe and supportive space where difficult conversations can take place in a constructive way. It’s designed to:

  • Create an open, honest environment that helps people communicate clearly

  • Encourage individuals to take ownership of their choices and outcomes

  • Resolve conflict before it escalates further

The Benefits of Mediation

While mediation isn’t suitable for every conflict, it can be highly effective when people are willing to listen, cooperate, and find a way forward. Mediation can:

  • Resolve disagreements more quickly than formal processes

  • Get to the root of the issue rather than just the surface problem

  • Give people the chance to explore different options before choosing the best path forward

  • Improve communication and rebuild trust in relationships

  • Reduce stress and bring a sense of relief

  • Create space for healthier, more positive interactions moving forward

Key Features of Mediation

  • Voluntary – Both parties must agree to take part.

  • Confidential – What is said in mediation stays in mediation.

  • Solution-Focused – More than just a chat, it’s about addressing the difficult issues and working toward an agreement that feels fair.

  • Win/Win – Because the solutions are created by the people involved, they are empowering, achievable, and more likely to last.

  • Future-Focused – Mediation is about moving forward in a healthier way, rather than finding blame for the past.

When Can Mediation Help?

Mediation works best when people genuinely want to resolve conflict and move on. It can be especially helpful for:

  • Interpersonal conflicts

  • Unresolved disagreements

  • Differences in styles, expectations, or perceptions

  • Communication breakdowns

  • Personality clashes

  • Rebuilding relationships after a difficult experience

Mediation Fees

Mediation provides a safe, structured space to resolve conflicts and work toward solutions that feel fair and sustainable. You can choose the format that best suits your needs:

  • Initial session (1 hour): £60 per person

  • Joint mediation sessions (1.5 hours): £75 per person

I aim to make the process accessible and supportive, so you can feel confident and empowered throughout.
